The Basics:

A mushroom Shoebox Kit is an Ez-Setup / Zero-Maintenance cultivation system designed for growing mushrooms at home.

It includes:

Coco & Optional VG Substrate: A nutrient-rich medium, prepped for optimal growth.

Mushroom Spawn Jar: Mycelium of the chosen mushroom species, ready to be introduced to the substrate.

Mushroom Substrate Pack: A polymer bag that allows you to prepare the substrate (shake) before dumping in to the Shoebox.

Ultra Clear Shoebox: Polymer box that maintains humidity and provides the right environment for growth. Easy to watch.

Basic instructions:

ADD 2.5 CUPS of RAPID Boiling water into the bag of substrate mix. Wait 67 seconds & shake.

Break up the chunk as needed and shake a few more times.

Pro Pack?? Add it to the substrate now and shake, shake, shake! No Pack? Move along.

While the bag of Substrate is HOT, DUMP into the Shoebox w/Liner, spread out semi evenly with a fork, spoon, or measuring cup. No need to be perfect.

Put the lid on the Shoebox & allow to cool an hour.

In an hour, the Box of Sub will be cool to the touch. – Time to Mix in the Spawn Jar.

Spawn Jar: -BOOP the jar against your closed fist; to break up the mycelium. DUMP the SPAWN into the Shoebox of Substrate.

Mix Well, push grains down into the sub. No Big Deal if they aren’t all covered.

PRESS everything Down. Start from the middle and work your way to the sides of the Shoebox. Snug & tight.

Put the lid on the Shoebox & NEGLECT it. The lid is Not supposed to fit tight or lock. You’ll hear the snap when it’s secure.

Store the Shoebox Kit in a safe place (from cats) (i kid you not, good luck.)

Open Faced Cabinets, Counter Tops, & Shelves are the most ideal locations. – Natural, ambient air movement, lower spore index.

Closed cabinets, carpeted areas, closets w clothes, construction sites, & dumpsters are less than ideal. – Makes 2nd flushes hard & temps are difficult to manage.

NEGLECT the kit for a few weeks. NEVER remove the tape.
